We supply a range of fibre media converters from the standard 10/100 Base TX Fibre to RJ45 converter to SFP 10/100/1000 Auto negotiating converters. All our media conveters come with an external power supply and can be used as stand alone or rack mounted units using the 14 Slot rack mountable converter chassis.
These media converters are designed to convert data signals between 10/100 Base TX and 100 Base-FX fast Ethernet. The Media convertor is connected between Fibre and twisted copper cable to allow smooth network operation.
Media convertors allow the transmission distance of existing copper RJ45 10 Base –T and 100 Base –TX equipment such as switches, routers and NIC’s to be extended over optical fibres.
