Pre-terminated cables offer several key benefits over onsite splicing and terminating. Pre-terminated cable can be installed by people with no special installation skills or equipment. The cables are supplied on a drum with the termination assembly adequately protected for installation in ducting where the cable is pulled through. Costs are dramatically reduced due to the lack of on-site splicing and terminating.

Pre-terms are in 4, 8, 12, 16 or 24 core indoor/outdoor tight buffered cable pre-terminated with connectors at one or both ends. Pre-term are available in many different cable types including Corrugated Steel Tape or Steel Wire Armoured cable.

They can be terminated with any combination of ST, SC, SCAPC, FC, FCAPC, E2000, E2000APC and LC connectors.
